Let's take a deep dive into the pharmacy culture in Germany, explore the most significant players, and reveal why these shops are precious institutions.
Understanding the German Drogerie
To truly value the German pharmacy, one need to first comprehend the difference between a Drogerie and an Apotheke (pharmacy).

- The Drogerie (Drugstore): This is where one opts for health, appeal, personal care, child items, cleaning supplies, and healthy foods. Prescription drugs are not sold here.
The modern German pharmacy market is dominated by a couple of major chains, developing a duopoly that forms the shopping habits of millions of citizens every single day.
